Saturdays.

I like Saturdays, I've decided. They're usually pretty laid back and we get some things done that we've been wanting to do.

Janine had plans to go to one of the malls in San Jose to pick up some things for her hair dying experiments. I decided to tag along. Ended up being a good trip, as I finally picked up a copy of RosettaStone for Spanish (Latin America) levels 1-5. I managed to get a slight price break from the attendant too, which was nice.

I've always wanted to learn another language, as I believe I have a brain that will do that well. I've never actually sat down and tried to do so, though. (Well, some attempts in Iceland which were going well but I ended up leaving the country...)

I chose Spanish because it's actually something that will be relevant here in the States, particularly if we stay in California. (And I don't expect us to be leaving anytime soon...)

Do I expect to be able to do anything useful with this? For it to open up new careers or anything? Probably not -- it's mostly a personal thing. Also, I'm uncertain whether I'll actually stick with it or not ... let's be honest, how many people say they're going to do something? :-)
